Career Gear accepts new or gently worn, “ready to wear,” professional and business casual men’s clothing, shoes, accessories and product that are appropriate for a job interview such as:

New black or brown socks
Briefcases & portfolios
New toiletries
Watches, tie clips & cufflinks

Please make sure clothing is clean and on hangers if possible.

We are also in need of office, boutique and professional development supplies.

Please ship or drop off your donation to the nearest Career Gear location. We are located in New York City; Baltimore, MD; Dallas, TX; Washington DC; Houston, TX; Jersey City, NJ; Miami, FL; New Haven, CT and San Antonio, TX. Make sure you call ahead for office hours when dropping off so we can receive your donation. Due to limited resources and staff we do not offer a pick up service. Include a note with your contact information (name, address, phone number) and the number of items donated, in order to receive a tax-receipt. Help us save a stamp and provide us with your email address. Thank you for thinking about us and for helping men in need get a second chance.

Over the years, Career Gear has built support from private and corporate donors. This has helped Career Gear build an inventory of business apparel, which has outfitted thousands of men not only in New York but also among our affiliates.

Our primary source of income — the money that keeps the lights on, finances the payroll and underwrites any clothing we must buy — comes from individuals and corporations.
